A Lovely Blogger Award

I have been nominated for the Lovely Blogger Award by Ana of governingana. Thank you, Ana! I appreciate the mention! Last year, a Versatile Blogger Award made the rounds and I received a mention for that. I had to actually go back to that post to read what I wrote and not tell you the same 7 things about me. 😉 I don’t know how many things are still unknown facts but I’ve tried to think up a few more.

Anyone who has read here more than once or twice already knows the basics. I’m Lea. I like to be spanked. I’m very tall so am sometimes mistaken for a top, but I don’t top. I discovered the world of adult spanking when Google led me to SCONY, a group I’m happy to be a part of and have made some wonderful friends through it. I’ve been in the “lifestyle” for a little over 3 years now. I’m hilarious and sarcastic. Super happy people and I don’t tend to get along, especially early in the morning. I’m very shy and clumsy and embarrassing things happen to me on pretty much a daily basis. Some say I have an obsession with Peeps. I own every movie Tom Cruise has ever been in, even the ones I don’t like just to keep the collection complete.

I love Justin Timberlake. Don’t you dare tell me that the Backstreet Boys were better than ‘N Sync! If you just asked yourself who ‘N Sync was, don’t even talk to me. I have an incredible memory for things like names and faces and birthdays, but have to go from my car to the front door twice to remember if I locked it. I’m a secretary and I stole my scene name from the movie Secretary. Yes, I know I spelled it wrong. I have a friend who actually met James Spader and am super jealous of him for that. I’m consistently surprised when people like me. I live in Utah. No need to share the polygamist jokes, I’ve heard them all. Why did the polygamist cross the road? To get to the other bride. Hardy, har, har.

For anyone who didn’t want to re-read the other link above, last time these were my 7 things: I’ve lived in Utah most of my life but have never skiied. I’m left handed. I’ve never learned how to ride a bicycle. I’m 6 feet tall. I don’t like change. I eat candy in even numbers. I have a fantasy of being spanked by someone dressed as Santa Claus. (Corny, I know.) Alright, now 7 new things.

1. My favorite book as a child was Number The Stars by Lois Lowry. I’ve read it at least 50 times.

I love to read. I own most books by John Grisham and love James Patterson as well. My favorite guilty pleasure book is My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler. Omg, it’s HILARIOUS.

2. My middle name is Joy.

I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned that. I hate it. It’s one of those ironic names because how do you expect your kid to turn out with a name like that? They’ll either be annoyingly cheerful or a sarcastic smartass like me. There’s no middle ground.

3. Ferris wheels and ”sky-coaster” type rides terrify me.

Put me on a roller coaster any day. I can handle the heights when I’m moving. But in a ferris wheel when it stops and you are just hanging there by a hook, usually with some jackass boy who thinks it’s funny to make it spin while my fingers death grip into the bar in front of me, no thank you.

4. My favorite flower is the lily.

I had a July wedding and made the colors red and black, so everything was roses. But I like lilies much more. I like buttercups and violets. I’d take wildflowers over roses any day.

5. A few summers ago, I attended several concerts in a one month period. The first was Foreigner/Styx/Def Leppard. The second was Snoop Dogg and Slightly Stoopid. The third was The Fray. I have a varied taste in music.

6. I play the piano. Badly.

My grandma is an incredible concert level pianist. She taught almost all of the grandkids. I took lessons from age 6 to about 16 before I quit, not seeing it as a viable career. Lol. I’ve never forgotten the basics of reading music and still have a piano, but am pretty rusty.

7. I use humor to detract from serious or awkward situations. (Wait, that’s probably not a surprise, is it?)

Life can be sad and serious and depressing, too much of the time really. I will be the first one to crack a joke to stop a friend from crying. I have a good sense of humor (albeit a bit dark sometimes) and learned to laugh at myself as well a long time ago. Have to be able to take what you dish out, after all.

 8. (I’m adding in a bonus to thoroughly shock you all.) Despite all the talk of Peeps and occasionally making  artwork out of them, they are actually not my favorite candy. My all-time favorite candy is peanut butter M&M’s.

Alicia Panettiere: Alicia is one of the first friends I made in the scene. She was a huge help to me in figuring out what the hell I was doing and what I wanted out of all of this. She’s been a spanking model, pro-top, and is a lifestyle spanko. I’m happy to see her back and updating!

American Spanking Society: Todd and Suzy have a lot of fun posts and a weekly roundtable discussion that always has me thinking about the latest topic.

Blossom And Thorn: Season and Michael are so in love, it almost makes one a bit ill. 😉 I alway enjoy reading their stories, humor, and twisted top logic.

Come Play With Me: Sarah Thorne has been super busy and hasn’t updated in the last little bit, but her blog is always one of my must reads. Posts range from the thought provoking to the downright funny.

Dark Musing: Craig Aych writes some great fiction and always shares the latest things seen through the eyes of a kinkster, from the funny to the bizarre. Nipple clamps on a potato, anyone?

Dave Wolfe of Wolfie Toons: Dave Wolfe is one creative spanking enthusiast and artist who is nice enough to share many of his great works with the rest of us.

Erica Scott: Erica is the original brat. 😉 Her blog can have me laughing hysterically or in tears, depending on the tone and post. There’s always something interesting to read. If you like her writing and haven’t already done so, check out her book Late Bloomer. It’s fabulous.

governingana: Ana’s story is a unique one and I always learn something new when reading her thoughts on discipline and life in general.

Her Mischief Managed: Susie may be called a “goody two-shoes” 😉 but I always go away from her blog with something new to think about.

Joey and Friends: I was thrilled when Joey started a blog. He has a good sense of humor and is an all around good guy. I’m happy to have met him in real life through SCONY. It’s nice to hear from a male perspective and he breaks stereotypes left and right. Some men can read. AND WRITE!

Poppy’s Submissions: Poppy is a poet and I wonder if she does not know it. (5 points to whoever got the Scarlet Pimpernel reference.) Her writing is beautiful, her stories are mouth-watering. Need I say more?

Roller Coaster Ride of Spanking & Submission: Playful Little Brat seems like someone I could be friends with in real life. I enjoy reading her posts and stories and she’s always real, even about her struggles.

The Pink Report: What spanking blog list could be complete without a little Pink? She has been called the Queen of Hawtness and I must agree. Her quick wit is apparent and her posts are so hot it’s almost a guilty pleasure getting a peek into her mind.

Words on the Bottom: Some might say that it’s easy to get blog hits when you post up pictures of lots of cute spanked bottoms all the time. That may be so, but Wordsmith is quite funny as well.

It was hard to make that list. I can see why so many people just referred others to read the blog list on their page. I read many more in addition to the ones I mentioned here and you can find them on the right. I hope it wasn’t terribly boring to learn a little more about me. And you made it to the end, congratulations! Are you still trying to Google who ‘N Sync is? Sigh…
