Silenced

This isn’t a story about being tied up and gagged, sorry. Nothing quite so interesting. I’ve had the cold from Hell for a while now. I’d say I’ve been sick off and on since November. It kind of comes and goes in various stages but this past few weeks it got bad again. Cold medicine is doing nothing, aside from making me rant about the costs of cold medicine. Seriously, have you purchased some lately? Sheesh. Anyway, on Friday I hit the point of nearly losing my voice. I could still talk a little but it was really hoarse. A secretary with no voice is kind of a problem. People couldn’t understand me so I had to keep transferring calls to the other person in the office to repeat what I’d said to everyone. Really annoying and not too efficient. On Saturday, I couldn’t even talk as much as the day before. My voice is completely gone at this point. It’s a good thing nobody has attempted to call me, I’m more of a texter anyway. I’ve made it through the day by whispering. That was a lot of fun at Midas, whispering to the guy trying to explain what was wrong with my car.

I’m sure tops everywhere are rejoicing. A silent Lea? No way!! Yes, it’s true. But all of you aren’t here to witness it for yourselves so you’ll just have to take my word for it. What does all this have to do with spanking? I’m getting to that. On Friday night, J came into the bedroom while I was on my computer. He asked me something and I attempted to answer and he said “you sound horrible.” Yes I know, thanks. He went back to what he was doing but came back a while later. “It’s time for your spanking,” he said. “Whatever for?” I asked. It wasn’t the time for when we do maintenance yet and there certainly weren’t any other pending offenses that we were addressing that I was aware of. “Because you’re sick and you shouldn’t be getting sick,” he said. Seriously? Seriously??? Top logic at it’s finest. The way they just pull reasons out of their a… Anyway, that was apparently the reason.

For once, spanking was just about the last thing on my mind with how crappy I’ve been feeling lately. But after rolling my eyes a few times and muttering to myself, (what else could I do, I could hardly talk) I complied. I was ready to go to bed before I was so rudely interrupted so I was in a t-shirt and pajama pants. Someone’s ears probably perked up there. What is the fixation with pajama spanking amongst spankos anyway? But I digress… He bent me over the bed and went to retrieve the leather paddle. I wasn’t sure if this was a good or bad thing yet. That can be my favorite implement when it’s used nicely, but that is if it’s being used nicely.

He started to spank me with his hand over my pajama pants while he told me that I shouldn’t be getting sick. He switched back and forth between his hand and the leather paddle. At that point, I judged that it was being used semi-nicely. It wasn’t too long into it before he yanked down my pajama pants and panties and had me lie facedown on the bed. He continued to spank me with his hand and then would switch to the paddle. What I quickly found really frustrating was not being able to talk! Over the years I’ve developed into a more vocal spankee. I don’t totally scream or anything (usually, lol) but being prevented from voicing my oww’s and aah’s was really annoying! We just had to work with purely body language since my whispered oww’s couldn’t really be heard over the swats anyway.

Can you imagine how ridiculous this was? It would be like watching a silent spanking movie. I don’t think it would be a top seller. As the intensity of the spanking increased, I kicked my legs and tried to move from side to side but J placed his free arm across my back to try to keep me in position. The paddle wasn’t being used as nicely at this point and my bottom was really stinging. The plus side of having no voice is that it reduced the usual amount of responses required on my part. But I’d still rather have a voice. When I was sufficiently pink, he finally eased up and the spanking concluded. He rubbed my bottom for a minute and told me to feel better. Yeah, I’ll get right on that. Lol. The spanking had actually gotten rid of my headache so that was nice. He held me for a while as I coughed into my pillow. Real romantic moment. Haha.

As a side note, if anyone has a cure for hoarseness please let me know! I googled it and the info I found said not to use decongestants because it’s hard on the vocal chords and also not to whisper, which is apparently harder on you than just talking. So pretty much everything I’ve been doing. Great. Rest and fluids, I can do that. I think I’ll go back to bed now, actually. I hope we have all learned something about the pros and cons of being spanked while sick.

Is “top logic” an oxymoron? After all, when are they logical? Being spanked for getting sick. WTF.

    Just get better fast.

Was just reading your blog sort of front to back. Sorry to hear that your sick. Hope you feel better soon!

There is no magic cure for laryngitis, you just have to rest those vocal chords and let it run it's course.

I do know that frequent reminder spankings help you to remember to be quiet. 😉

Awwww!! Poor, Lea. I am sorry you don't feel well. 😦

I don't think it was right to spank you for being sick. That doesn't mean you should not have been spanked anyway. 🙂

If you ask me, it's J's fault for you being sick. He should have been spanked. 😛

I heard gargling with hot water and salt helps. Otherwise, you might have to get something from the doctor. I would have a doctor examine you especially since you have been sick since Novmeber. He/she will probably give you something that will help better. It might turn into something worse, so please get examined by a doctor.

@alex, Well don't let Malignus read this and get any ideas. 😉

@joey, I know, right? Top logic has always been an oxymoron. Lol.

@Thoughtful, Welcome and thanks for stopping by! I don't know about the reminder spanking thing. You sound like a top. 😉

@bree, “It's not my fault,” why do I get the feeling that won't end well? Lol.

Thanks everyone, I've already called in sick to work tomorrow so I can rest up. Hopefully it goes away soon.

I'm sorry that you are sick Lea. You might need an antibiotic, if you haven't gone and gotten one yet. I've heard of others with this…it's nasty.

Now, if you could come to the conclusion that spankings cure colds, things could get interesting!

  7. Awww, geeze Lea! Sorry you are feeling sick like that! (Spanked for getting sick?!?!? The person who made you sick should be spanked, you cant help it! I have to agree with Joey on the Top logic thing (does it exist or merely masquarade for excuses to get you OTK? 🙂 )

For the cough/cold/sickness stuff I know of a few homeopathic things that work. If you arent asthmatic, get some echinacea (pill form) and take it at least twice a day. It shortens colds considerably. For a sore throat/cough try cinnamon. A good remedy is to get some apple juice and put either powdered cinnamon or a stick of it in the glass for a few minutes (juice can be hot or cold, whichever you prefer). Anything with honey is supposed to be good for cough and cold stuff, although I've never tried it. Menthol rubs (like Vicks) are good to help cough also—-hold the jar a few inches from your face and inhale the scent slowly, it will calm down the urge to cough and soothe your lungs. Hope at least some of it helps! Feel better soon! ~sugar

“You shouldn't be getting sick”?? OMFG. Tops!

Here's something I don't recommend: getting spanked when you have a cough. I speak from firsthand (har) experience. If you have a tickle in your throat, the combination of the prone position and the physical stimulation will set off coughing like you can't believe.

Gosh, Lea. I would never suggest you say “It is not my fault.” I know better than that. There are other ways to infer that.

You will still get spanked, though.

    Hehe. 🙂

    Are you feeling better yet?

I agree with Erica, Susie and sugar.

With all this talk about scratchy throats, I feel like I am getting one. If I do, I am blaming the Top I was with last night. He had a sinus infection. Poor baby. 😦

I am putting some blsckberry brandy in my tea with honey. That usually helps what ails me whether I am sick or not. 🙂

That's a new one on me, hot seat and honey.

I have no cure for hoarseness. Nor for horsiness. But I know that Mr. Ed is buried in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. A horse is a corpse, of course, of course.

My ex used to get very horny when she was mildly sick, so that was always a confusing time for me.

If any of this nonsense made you snicker, they say laughter is the best medicine, so maybe you're feeling better now!

@Susie, Thank you. I wish spanking cured colds!

@sugar, Top logic is always excuses to get one OTK. Lol. Thank you for the remedies, I will certainly give them a try!

@Erica, It did give me a bit of a coughing bout after. Maybe I should ban spanking until I'm better. On second thought I've had this since November… Ugh.

@bree, No brandy here but I'd give that a try.

@sarah, Thanks! I hope this is the last phase of it!

@Wolfie, Your nonsense always makes me snicker. Thank you! 🙂
